'PROGRESSIVE WEAR FOR OPTIMAL PERFORMANCE'

The start

In 2002 two fanatic Dutch climbers decided it was time for a climbing revolution. Their idea was to design trendy, progressive and last but not least functional clothing for climbers who like challenges. Whether you climb or not, the clothing should be perfect to wear for other fun sports or everyday casual occasions.

At the end of 2004 Irene Pieper decided, with her own experience of climbing, to build on the original
NIHIL concept to a strong and known brand in the whole world. Together with René Geerlings, responsible for Sales & Production, a strong sponsored climbing team and a motivated team of distributors and agents, NIHIL has become better known and goes around the world!

Fashion meets climbing!

Clothes with zero friction for optimum performance! The concept NIHIL is based on several contradictions. The progressive and serious climber is pulling himself back in nature and is having a physical and mental fight with the rock and himself. But what would you be without imagination and daydreaming? Be progressive! Think out of the box and escape form the daily monotonous tread, but do it classy.

These elements and years of climbing experience, are the basic for trendy, progressive and last but not least functional collections. Fashion meets climbing!

Dutch Design made in Portugal

To provide the quality which fits The Dutch Design standards and the ‘European way' of production, NIHIL decided to move production of their collections to Portugal. A country with a long history in the fashion industry. Well known brands have been produced in Portugal for years. Brands like Oilily, Oxbow, Quick Silver and O'neill are all aware of the professional, reliable and, of vital importance, the pleasant way of working with Portuguese companies. From 2010 our collections will be produced in this Fashionable country.
